In the message, the fictitious Finnish men Pekka and Matti have a hysterical discussion about the threat posed by Russia to Finland’s security.
Former President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has published a message in Finnish on the message service X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.
In his message, the ex-president, known for his sharp comments, is most obviously trying to mock Finns for their attitude towards Russia as a security threat.
In his message, Medvedev has attached pictures of two men, which are probably meant to represent Russians’ stereotype of Finns:
– Pekka, why has our country joined NATO?
– Because the Russians are a threat to us.
– But why are they threatening us?
– Because we, Matti, have joined NATO.
