DLSS killer FSR 20 is coming from AMD

AMD’s next-generation FSR 2.0 upgrade technology with impressive performance and image quality will be introduced in full detail at GTC 2022.

AMD first announced the FSR technology in late May 2021. Nowadays, it continues to count the days for the new generation DLSS killer FSR 2.0 technology.

Is DLSS killer FSR 2.0 technology the future of AMD?

The company later this month GDC 2022(Game Developers Conference) will explain the next generation FSR 2.0 upgrade technology in detail. Someone from the CapFrameX benchmark and development software company saw the FSR 2.0 demo. Their statement was “impressive performance and image quality”.

CapFrameX also states that AMD’s next-gen technology looks completely natural, doesn’t need temporal amplification and AI with optimized AA. In other words, there is no special Tensor Core as in GeForce RTX GPUs.

For FSR 2.0, it seems a little early to switch to this technology, as AMD’s next-gen upscaling technology is expected to debut with the next-gen RDNA 2 graphics architecture.

If AMD’s DLSS killer FSR 2.0 technology comes out sooner, it will be a move NVIDIA never expected.
