Djurgården now fires Johan Garpenlöv after the fiasco start

Hockeyallsvenska Djurgården fires coach Johan Garpenlöv after a fiasco-like start to the season.
The club announces this on its website.
Assistant coach Marcus Ragnarsson is also allowed to go.

Johan Garpenlöv, who was previously the national team captain for Tre Kronor, took over the Stockholm team in November last year. Then he led the team to promotion qualification to the SHL where Djurgården fell against Modo.

Djurgården is in twelfth place after 13 games played. Michael Holmqvist will lead the team until further notice, starting with Monday’s training.
