Over half of those who left the Armed Forces last year stated dissatisfaction with the salary as a contributing reason for their leaving, reports the Officer newspaper, which took part in the annual survey the authority conducts among employees and conscripts who have left.
41 percent indicated poor opportunities for development and 37 deficiencies in leadership as reasons for their resignation.
Among conscripts, mental illness has increased in the past year. 65 percent respond that during their time in the Armed Forces, they experienced anxiety, low mood, depression or stress for the first time. The year before, it was 22 percent.
Of the conscripts who answered the survey, three out of four had injured themselves during the training. Knees and feet were most vulnerable.
