Dissatisfaction: Another 20 people quit the air force

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Last year, 20 fighter pilots filed for leave in protest of the conditions, and now comes the second wave of defections from the Air Force. Another 20 pilots will quit their jobs and the reason is dissatisfaction with promises that have not been fulfilled.

Several of them say that they have completely lost confidence in the Armed Forces leadership.

“Johan”, as we call him for protective reasons, has for ten years transported material and personnel to war zones such as in Mali and Afghanistan. Now he is one of those leaving the air force.

– Like many others among the pilots, we have lost trust in the higher management, and then we talk to the air force chief and more, at that level, he tells TV4 Nyheterna.

See more about the dissatisfaction, and hear Micael Bydén, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, in the player above.
