In 1937, Disney published his first full -length cartoon for the whole family with Schneewittchen and the seven dwarfs. 88 years later, the animated films of the mouse studio are a fixed part of pop culture-and yet the world has turned further.
Is a new edition of the oldest Disney fairy tale? Director Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) answers this question, despite a lot of headwind in advance, with a clear ‘yes’. Because the Snow White remake modernizes the template with an admirable sensitivity without denying the love for the original film.
Fantasy with feeling: Schneewittchen brings the Disney classic into the present
Even if a cute hedgehog rolls out on the lid of a fairy tale book at the beginning, it should be clear: Snow White is pure disney. So far, so well known. The fantasy story of Snow White is in an increasingly complicated world pleasantly simple. The queen is abysmal evil and Gal Gadot plays this diabolical diva with tusto. Rachel Zegler, as an engaging king’s daughter, believes in the good without having sarcastic twin -folder from their hope.
