Disneyland Paris enters the Guinness Book of Records for this

After months of work, the amusement park was awarded by Guinness World Records™ for this unique show that captivated visitors on the evening of July 14.

Every day, millions of visitors are amazed by discovering the magic of the park, the characters of their favorite cartoons as well as the shows of Disneyland Paris. But one of them has allowed to stand out at the international level thanks to its creativity, innovation and hard work. And during the evening of July 14, the teams were rewarded. “We are delighted and proud to have achieved this Guinness World Records™ title” said Ben Spalding, Show Producer at Disneyland Paris.

During the National Day celebrations, the park managed to set a new record for the “Largest aerial image of a fictional character formed by drones/multirotors”, the park announced in a press release on Monday, July 15, 2024. Thus, nearly 1,571 drones lit up the sky, creating a gigantic tricolor Mickey Mouse head above Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Combining pyrotechnics, light shows and a breathtaking drone choreography, the 12-minute nighttime spectacle transported visitors through five creative stages representing the most beautiful iconic scenes from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films related to France such as Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sleeping Beauty, The Aristocats and Ratatouille. The show also included some of the greatest symbols of French culture, such as the Eiffel Tower, and the iconic rose window of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.

This show was specially designed for July 14, but throughout the summer and fall, visitors will be able to continue to attend the Disney Electrical Sky Parade, a similar nighttime spectacle, this time with more than 500 drones, lasers, video projections, lights and fountains. Young and old alike will continue to be amazed!
