Disney won’t like that

A teaser shows the first glimpses of the new FPS shooter “Mouse” on Steam, in which you fight against cartoon mice in a retro look.

Mouse is an announced first-person shooter from the indie studio Fumi Games, in which you shoot your way through a corrupt city.

The game’s design was inspired by the so-called “Rubber Hose” animation style, as seen in the popular co-op game Cuphead and old Disney movies.

The design of the mouse opponents seen in the trailer is also very reminiscent of how Mickey Mouse looked in the early days. Since Disney attaches great importance to a family-friendly image, the company will probably not like this close resemblance to its flagship figure in the shooter context.

Here you can see the teaser for Shooter Mouse:

You are a detective in a deadly city

What game will Mouse become? As private investigator John Mouston, you must survive in a dangerous area and experience a story of murder and betrayal.

Equipped with various weapons, such as a revolver, hammer or dynamite, you kill the enemies. The game should give you a lot of freedom in how you proceed tactically in combat.

With the help of the Fantastic-o-Matic power-up system, skills and weapons can always be improved. There are also some vending machines in the city where you can purchase additional reinforcing items.

When is Mouse released? No specific release date has been given yet. Currently, you can add Mouse to your wishlist on Steam to receive a notification when the shooter is available.

What platforms is Mouse released for? In addition to Steam, the shooter will also be released for Switch, Xbox and Playstation.

How does the community react to the trailer? So far, only a few players have commented on YouTube at the time the article was written (as of May 11, 2023).
