Disney+ has unveiled its new content for the month of August 2022. Between the successful series produced by the platform and cult films, there is something for everyone and for the whole family.
With the heat wave limiting outings in the middle of the day, it can be very pleasant to watch streaming content during the hottest hours. The month of August is also eagerly awaited by Disney++ subscribers, the platform offering exclusives while adding cult works to its catalog.
On the cinema side, fans of the Predator saga will be able to discover the fifth opus, Prey, which takes place 300 years earlier. The fifth installment in the Predator Cult saga, Prey, is scheduled for August 5. The story will take place on the territory of the Comanches 300 years before the events of the previous games. It will follow the adventure of the young warrior Naru, who tries to defend her tribe against one that turns out to be much more dangerous than expected. The roles are reversed, and the hunters become the prey.
The famous film by Taika Waititi, jojo rabbit, arrives on August 12! Jojo, a young German who is part of the Hitler Youth, has an imaginary best friend who is none other than Adolf Hitler. A fervent believer in the values of the 3rd Reich, he discovers one day that his mother is hiding a young Jewish girl. He then finds himself faced with a profound dilemma that will completely challenge his beliefs.

What are the new series on Disney+ in August 2022?
On August 10, Disney+ will unveil a series of five short films about the cutest character in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe): Groot. The series – whose title takes up the famous and unique line of the character My name is Groot – will tell the incredible adventures of baby Groot, and promises a clever mix of humor and cuteness. This is an independent adventure from that of the Guardians, located just after the events of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
Another series watched with great attention, She-Hulk: Advocate, which will land on August 17. She will introduce Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters, into the MCU. After a blood transfusion, the future heroine finds herself endowed with the same powers as her cousin and will have to learn to control them, while continuing her career as a lawyer. If the previous trailers have not aroused unanimity, in particular because of the quality of the CGI, the series promises some interesting passages, in particular by breaking the fourth wall.
