How much can an animated film that seems completely harmless at first glance traumatize small children? The Disney classic Bambi has a heartbreaking scene that you can never forget: The young fawn loses its mother to a hunter’s bullet. A trauma for eternity.
82 years later, two remakes in development. On the one hand, we have the live-action remake of Bambi from Disney, which was announced four years ago but has not made much progress to date. The live-action competition from France is much further ahead.
Bambi with real animals: French remake of the classic will be released in 2025
With Bambi – A Life Story from the Forest, we can expect another new interpretation of the familiar story, which was originally written by the Austro-Hungarian Hunter Felix Salten and was first put to paper in 1922. The German cinema release has now been confirmed.
