When Café Columbia’s owner Sofia Forsberg prepared rolls on Saturday morning, she was in a bit of a hurry.
Instead of filling the rolls with vanilla cream, she happened to use aioli.
The roll professor answers: Then you can start eating rolls
Café Columbia’s miss
As soon as the mistake was discovered, the cafe posted a warning on Facebook:
“This post is addressed to those of you who bought vanilla buns from us yesterday, Saturday 27/1.
Unfortunately, a sachet of homemade Aioli happened to be mistaken for a sachet of vanilla cream in the heat of the moment! Which meant that the roll was filled with Aioli and not Vanilla Cream.”
“It’s sad when it happens, and of course it SHOULD not happen. But everyone can make mistakes at some point.”
Did King Adolf Fredrik die because he ate too many rolls?
Sold four rolls filled with aioli
To Corren says Sofia Forsberg that she doesn’t really know how she could make the mistake, but that the cafe only managed to sell four rolls with aioli filling before the error was discovered.
– I don’t know how I was thinking. There is a lot of pressure on the rolls right now and I felt the stress creep in when I started the filling, she tells the newspaper and continues:
– The aioli and the vanilla cream are roughly the same color and I forgot to taste before the filling arrived.
That’s why it’s called Fat Day – and that’s why we eat buns
