According to the news in CNN, authorities in the state of Uttar Pradesh confirmed that the police officer was arrested in connection with the alleged incident. The investigation into the alleged incident, which took place at a police station in the state’s Lalitpur district, continues. The police stated that all the officers present at the police station during the incident were condemned and that action would be taken against those found guilty in the investigation.
Lalitpur police said that the victim girl was a member of the Dalit community in the country, and the accused police officer was also from the Dalit community.
