Many players in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 community believe the game’s newest weapon is “nonsense” against an existing popular weapon.
Activision and Infinity Ward introduce new weapons with each season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and some additions are causing controversy among community members.
The Modern Warfare 2 community couldn’t warm up to the new weapon
Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 kicked off this month and comes with new events, weapons, operators, maps, and more. The start of season 5 also marked the start of major preparations for the announcement of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. In fact, Activision officially hinted at the game just days after the season kicked off. However, players will still have content in Modern Warfare 2 such as a major Season 5 Reloaded update.
New gun debate escalates
Modern Warfare 2 player SWAGLORIAN believes the new M13C Assault Rifle is one of the most “nonsense” items added to the game during season 5, and many Call of Duty fans share this view. This special weapon can be earned as a reward for the Shadow Siege event in season 5 of Modern Warfare 2.
This is a less common method compared to the game’s Battle Pass. Many fans believe that the M13B Assault Rifle of the first season in the game is the better option. Because its range is wider. Some players also note that the M13C, despite all its additions, performs poorly in combat.
The M13C offers more mobility than the M13B. However, it’s important to note that the new gun has more recoil and reduced range due to its shorter barrel. For this reason, even some players have begun to switch their weapons to this new model, even though there is an extensive weapon tuning system in-game.
The introduction of the M13C brought criticism from Modern Warfare 2 players to Infinity Ward due to the weapon’s flaws. Comparisons between the M13B and the M13C make it even more obvious that the latter performs poorly in medium and long range engagements. Fortunately, player feedback can help developers identify a way to fix the M13C gun.
