A report from the US Department of Justice states that the police force in Minneapolis has long had problems with violence and discrimination.
-Many police officers performed their difficult work with professionalism, courage and respect. But the patterns and methods we observed made possible what happened to George Floyd, US Attorney General Merrick Garland said at a press conference in Minneapolis.
The report follows a two-year investigation initiated after the intervention in which George Floyd was killed.
