He still lives in his birthplace in the middle of the woods near Maarn. “I’m actually quite the recluse. I prefer to work here in my studio, so during the corona crisis I made a lot, because there was nothing else to do.” His studio is therefore overflowing with many large paintings, meters wide and high. The theme of waste is reflected in almost all his works from recent years. Milk bottles, old tarpaulins, face masks, rubber gloves and even microplastics that have washed up are given a second life in Peter’s work.
