Disastrous DC flop that left Megan Fox ashamed years later
Megan Fox doesn’t like many of her previous roles. And that doesn’t just include their Transformers performances. Years later, she was still gossiping about the DC adaptation Jonah Hex. Today the blockbuster with a western setting is on TV. On TV: Megan Fox’s DC flop was too bad for her kids

Jonah Hex is based on the DC comics series of the same name. In the film, former Confederate soldier Hex (Josh Brolin) plans to thwart a former commander’s plot and take revenge on his family for his murder. Fox plays Hex’s lover Lilah.

Audiences and critics reviled the film (via Metacritic ), which developed into a disastrous flop after theatrical release (via Box Office Mojo ). Fox seemed to share the negative assessment. In 2016, she explained of some past roles (via Entertainment Tonight, quoted by Comicbook.com):

It would be nice [etwas Kinderfreundliches] close. ‘Cause things like Jennifer’s Body – I’ll do boys of her liking [meinen Kindern] can’t show for a long time. And I’ll never show them stuff like Jonah Hex. Nobody should see this film.

A few years later she rated the film as “acceptable“,
as a conversation with the Washington Post shows. The interview suggests that she didn’t see the film for the first time until well after its theatrical release.
