VV Utrecht made its debut in the Premier League in 2021. “That was not for sporting reasons, because we came second in the first division. We were allowed to enter the Premier League because we could meet the requirements of the association,” says Van Ling. The Utrecht Premier League adventure has been successful so far. The club reached the final for the national championship in 2023 and 2024. Both of those two finals were lost. In 2022, VV Utrecht won the cup, and subsequently also won the Super Cup. A year later, VV Utrecht was again in the cup final, but lost.
