That’s what Disney+’s How I Met Your Father is all about
Sophie (Hilary Duff) is frustrated: no matter how many Tinder dates she arranges, somehow the right man never comes along. Even her best friend Valentina (Francia Raisa) can’t help anymore – but that can also be because she has enough problems herself with the noble Brit Charlie (Tom Ainsley). as Sophie on the way to the supposedly last date of her life When she ends up in Jesse (Chris Lowell) and Sid’s (Suraj Sharma) Uber, she starts a series of events that will forever change her life in New York – and lead her to meet the father of her future children.
At its core, How I Met Your Father tells the story the same story as the legendary original series: A parent (in this case Kim Cattrall as drunken future Sophie) tells their own offspring (in this case an unwilling adult son) how the mother or father (in this case the latter) of their children found it. But this story always fades into the background. After all, there is a lot on the way to great love unsatisfactory affairs, lavish evenings in the regular bar and unpleasant situationsthat you have to go through with your best friends.
The How I Met Your Mother spinoff is worth it — at least for sitcom fans

Will How I Met Your Father gather as many fans as How I Met Your Mother in the long term? Unlikely. But it’s still worth giving the series a chance. she is a nostalgic journey to an almost fairytale-like sitcom New York, in which great love can be waiting around every corner – or at least a party that escalates completely. The circle of friends is made up of interesting characters between whom something exciting could develop.

That the whole thing still doesn’t yet feel like HIMYM at weddings one thing is clear: there are only 10 episodes of HIMYF. We haven’t had time to really love the characters and incorporate inside jokes built up over seasons into our own language.
It remains to be seen whether this will happen over the coming seasons. For now, at least the immediate future of the series is secured: Season 2 is already orderedthis time even with 20 episodes.
