Director wants to continue sci fi hit under one condition

In January of this year, the German Sci-Fi series Cassandra went online with six episodes at Netflix and immediately stormed the charts of the streaming service. There is still great interest in the retro futuristic Black Mirror counterpart with Lavinia Wilson as a smart home-Ki. But what do the chances of a 2nd season?

Cassandra Season 2: The creator says that as a sequel to Netflix

Director and screenwriter Benjamin Gutsche (All You Need), the human mastermind behind the Netflix series Cassandra, told the following to MySelf:

Cassandra is designed as a mini series. For a second season, an idea that is really worth it is to tell. I am happy when the series is a huge success and everyone screamed after more, but at first it is not planned.

It remains unanswered whether the idea required would revolve around Cassandra and the Prille family again, or to deal with a new scenario as a AI anthology.

For now, science fiction fans should come to terms with the completed format, even if there are some open questions that you could still focus on. However, it would not be the first time that Netflix turns a mini series into a regular series with several seasons due to high demand. This did not happen, for example, in the case of the teen drama dead girl and finally the dramedy beef.

Dystopian sci-fi alternatives to the Netflix hit Cassandra

If you have a Netflix subscription and want to switch to other sci-fi formats with a dystopian touch before a potential 2nd season of Cassandra, the streaming service has a lot on offer. For example, the Russian series Better Than Us, the long-standing anthology format Black Mirror by Charlie Brooker or the snow piercer series adaptation.

In the film area there are, among other things, the Spanish-language sci-fi thriller of the shaft or the Bong-Joon HOS film version of Snowpiercer.
