Utrecht – Christa Compas, the director of the General Education Union, will resign from her duties no later than September 1. Starting tomorrow she will stop doing some of her duties. If a replacement is found sooner, she will relinquish her duties before September 1. The Utrecht organization lost confidence in Compas last May. According to the FNV trade union, this had to do with the way an impending reorganization was handled.
