Director Maïmouna Doucouré presents her new film “Hawa”

In the feature film Hawa (Sania Halifa), an exceptional schoolgirl awaits placement in a foster family. She gets it into her head to be adopted by Michelle Obama, passing through Paris for a few days.

Two years after the worldwide success of cutes, a powerful drama about the hypersexualization of children, which won the César for best first film in 2021, director Maïmouna Doucouré is back with Hawaii. This Christmas story for the family, coupled with a reflection on resilience, is available on Amazon Prime Video.
