08:15 – Edouard Philippe calls on Emmanuel Macron to “quickly reform” in the event of re-election
The former Prime Minister granted an interview with Le Figaro this Tuesday, April 19. He insisted on one point: “What seems to me necessary is to start reforming quickly”. And to add: “The objective is not to reach a lucky date, but to save the system. If we had done it earlier, it would have been easier than doing it later, under pressure. […] The difficulty for a president is to be able to stay the course in circumstances that are not easy. This president does that very well. […] This subject of pensions has been treated badly for too long. I take my share. The sooner we have it behind us, the sooner we can move on to equally important things. The school seems to me to be an essential subject, perhaps even the most important”.
