It only took 1h23 for Alex De Minaur to qualify for the second round of the Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo. Opposed to the Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles, the Australian easily won in two sets (6/3 6/4). The 25th in the world will face the Russian Andrey Rublev for a place in the round of 16.

The Masters 1000 of Monte-Carlo takes place from April 10 to 17 on the courts of the Country-Club (MCCC) located in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. The public is back this year two years after the cancellation of the tournament. Last year, the edition, marked by the pandemic, was disputed behind closed doors.
Holder of the TV rights for the nine Masters 1000 including that of Monte-Carlo, Eurosport broadcasts the 2022 Monte-Carlo tournament on its channels and platforms. C8 will broadcast the semi-finals and the final of the tournament in the clear. The Canal group channel will be on the air from 1:25 p.m. on Saturday for the last four and 2:25 p.m. on Sunday for the final.
Winner in Miami, Carlos Alcaraz, the new nugget of world tennis can find Novak Djokovic on his way to the quarter-finals. On the French side, Gaël Monfils will face in the first round the seeded n°11, Hurbert Hurkacz while Jo Wilfried Tsonga, invited, will be opposed to the Croatian Marin Cilic.
