DIRECT Ligue 1 PSG Marseille Program for the 26th day

17:45 – Dall’Oglio talks about Laborde and the France team

MHSC coach Olivier Dall’Oglio only had Gaëtan Laborde under his command for a few weeks last summer before the striker left Montpellier for Stade Rennais at the end of the transfer window. But the French striker left a good impression on the former Brest coach, who even mentioned, at a press conference, the possibility of the Rennes striker being called up to the France team: “When you have a boy who scores like that, I necessarily think that the coach is looking at it. It’s reasonable to think about it. Even if in the France team, there are still big players who play in big clubs. But the fact that Rennes has grown and is of European level puts it in a better position.”

5:00 p.m. – Montpellier-Omlin: “Important to monitor Laborde”

Moving from Montpellier to Rennes during the last summer transfer window, Gaëtan Laborde has already scored this season in the Rennes jersey twice against Bordeaux, his training club, and once against Brest, where he was loaned out in 2014/2015. Montpellier therefore remains the only one of its former clubs still to be unscathed. Jonas Omlin, the Montpellier goalkeeper and former team-mate, knows that he will have to be wary of him: “He was already dangerous last season, he is now against us. It’s not a good thing for us, he said. – he confessed on the Ligue 1 website. He can strike left foot, right foot (…) It will be important to watch him well.

4:15 p.m. – Gaëtan Laborde returns to Montpellier

After three great seasons in Montpellier, Gaëtan Laborde returns for the first time to La Mosson in the colors of his new club, Stade Rennais, this Friday at the start of the 26th day of Ligue 1. This season, the Breton club’s striker has already scored 17 goals, despite a slump this winter, with a series of 7 games without scoring between the end of November and mid-January. He currently has 12 goals in Ligue 1 (including 3 with the MHSC in August) and 5 in the Europa League Conference.

15:30 – Montpellier-Rennes, ambitious duel

Montpellier (9th) hosts Rennes (5th) this Friday evening at the start of the 26th day of Ligue 1. A match that promises, between two well-ranked teams approaching the final sprint who have no room for error if they want to keep believing in Europe next season. In the first leg, on August 29, 2021, Stade Rennais won 2 goals to 1 thanks in particular to a goal from Eduardo Camavinga, who left for Real Madrid in stride. The MHSC had scored through … Gaëtan Laborde, who had signed up with Rennes a few hours later at the end of the transfer window.

14:45 – Frédéric Antonetti suspended seven games

FC Metz coach Frédéric Antonetti received a seven-match suspension, plus three suspended matches, following the altercation in Lille with northern leaders Olivier Létang and Sylvain Armand at the end of the match between Losc and Metz last Friday (0-0). The Messin coach will therefore not be on the Lorraine bench on Sunday for the 26th day of Ligue 1 for the reception of Nantes and will only be able to return there on April 20, during the trip to Lorient. Sylvain Armand and Olivier Létang received four and two game suspensions respectively.

2:00 p.m. – The program for the 26th day of Ligue 1

After the European matches this week, Ligue 1 resumes its rights this weekend with the 26th day on the program. This Friday evening, Montpellier opens the ball with the reception of Rennes (9 p.m.). Saturday, Strasbourg welcomes Nice during one of the shocks of this day (5 p.m.) before the match between PSG and Saint-Etienne. On Sunday, Monaco will host Reims at 1 p.m. before the 3 p.m. multiplex and its four matches.
