17:14 – Carapaz retains his Pink Jersey
Despite conceding 4″ of bonuses to Jai Hindley, Richard Carapaz kept his place as leader the day after this rest day.
17:11 – Hindley settles the Pink Jersey group
The Australian finishes with third place in this 16th stage just ahead of Carapaz.
17:03 – 15″ late for Almeida
The White Jersey goes to the top with a slight delay on the Pink Jersey group in which Valverde managed to hang on.

Jan Hirt almost made a mistake in a bend! Arensman comes back to 10″ with 3 km to go.
16:59 – 13″ late for Arensman
The 22-year-old climber is giving everything to come back in the last meters of this climb while the Maillot Rose group is at 1’22”.

At the front of the race, the Czech outdistanced Arensman in the last kilometer of this climb!

About ten seconds behind the Maillot Rose group, the Portuguese didn’t give up on this climb!
