Skater Merijn Scheperkamp has the best time on the 500 meters during the qualifying competitions for the World Cup competitions in Heerenveen. The 23-year-old sprinter, a member of the Jumbo-Visma skating club Zeist, was ahead of Sebas Diniz of Team IKO (34.70) and teammate Kai Verbij (34.81) with a time of 34.60 seconds.
