Different parts of the world are now celebrating the blooming of cherry trees – see a collection of colorful hanami celebrations

Different parts of the world are now celebrating the blooming

In Tokyo, Japan, the cherry trees burst into bloom already last week, 10 days earlier than usual.

Only twice before, in 2020 and 2021, sakura, or cherry blossoms, have burst this early in the spring.

According to the researchers, the earlier flowering is due to the effect of climate change.

In the hanami tradition, which originated in Japan, the blooming of cherry trees is celebrated with various events such as family picnics.

In the US capital, Washington, the cherry trees started blooming yesterday and are expected to reach their full color glory in the coming days.

Washington has a total of 4,000 cherry trees and their blossoming has been celebrated at the festival since 1934.

In Japan, the hanami tradition is centuries old.

The flowering of trees is predicted (you will switch to another service) and tracked using various popular applications.
