Dieunaldo Mereste this young man who dreams of dressing Haitians

The young Dieunaldo Mereste, originally a slammer, turned to fashion and launched “Bel Achat”, a social enterprise whose leitmotif is to convince Haitians to wear local clothes.

“Youth, commitment and creativity” is the credo of Bel Achat, a sewing workshop that offers clothes in original styles on which paint is applied. This marriage between painting and sewing is very original and significant since, indicates Dieunaldo Mereste, the designer behind Bel Achat, Haitians are always distinguished by their painting. For now, Bel Achat’s mission is to dress a thousand Haitians, that is to say convince 1,000 people to wear only local clothes.
