Oudewater – Diede de Groot once again has a chance to win a prestigious Laureus Award. Just like last year, the wheelchair tennis player from Oudewater has been nominated for the prize that is regarded as the ‘Oscar of the sport’. Max Verstappen and Annemiek van Vleuten are also nominated. Verstappen received the silver statuette for the sportsman of the year last year after winning his first world title in Formula 1.
