In GTA Online there is a small, hidden event based on the popular film series Die Hard. The mini-mission even rewards you with the villain’s weapon. We will show you what you have to do for this on MeinMMO.

For many families, the “Die Hard” series, starring action hero Jon McClane, is as much a part of Christmas Eve as cookies and nagging offspring – “Be good or Santa won’t be here!”.

The films are set during the holiday season and GTA Online has now taken advantage of that to bring a new event to the game. You experience a scene similar to that in the film and you get a weapon from the nasty villain Hans Gruber.

GTA Online: Die Hard Mini Event – Here’s how

How do I activate the event? You don’t need a public session for the event, but you do need to be in-game for a bit – around 20 minutes.

After that, you have to fly to Weazel Plaza at a certain in-game time – it’s best to use an armed helicopter for this.

    How do I complete the event? If there are a few police helicopters flying around by the roof, the event is active. Eliminate all enemies on the roof to complete the event. Note that the police can also become dangerous to you.

    One of the enemies up there is particularly persistent and eats up a lot of damage before going down. This is the GTA version of Hans Gruber, who also drops the new weapon. You then have to pick them up yourself to unlock them.

    What rewards are there? In addition to the handgun WM 29 Pistol (Heckler & Koch P7), you get 25,000 GTA dollars for completing it.

    Can you repeat the event? You can trigger the event again if you want to repeat the mission or couldn’t collect the weapon. But the 25,000 GTA dollars are only available once.
