– Nothing more surprising than that. We scored, no matter what.
What happened at the second break?
Although Leijonat finally took a crushing victory on Friday, the match was not a one-sided celebration.
After two sets, Leijonat led 2–1, and the Finns’ game was sticky.
– The opponent played well in the beginning and defended well, Kakko said.
Hungary had Thursday’s match against Sweden, which they also lost 1–7. In the third period, it seemed that fatigue hit the Hungarians’ shirt.
Kakko also admitted that Thursday night’s match was reflected in Hungary’s performance. According to Kako, it was also discussed in the Leijonien booth during the second break that the playing needs to improve.
– Quite a few people in the booth were loud. Surely everyone knew that this was not what we set out to get. We knew that everyone had to improve their own game.
