The initiative for the change came from X’s owner, Elon Musk. Several changes have been made to the platform, which have been deemed to hinder the operation of the news media.

The appearance of the X message service has been renewed recently. In the future, X will no longer display headlines from linked publications on news sites, but only the headline image and domain name. You can access the linked page by clicking on the image.

The new look was visible yesterday, Wednesday, to those who use X on Apple devices or desktop computers. The change does not seem to have affected advertising publications.

Owner of X Elon Musk confirmed the skin update after the US financial magazine Fortune had told about the coming change. Musk said that the idea came from him himself and explained that the solution improves the X’s appearance.

The reason behind the decision is suspected to be the desire to get more paid users for X. Omitting the title from posts can encourage users to write longer posts. In the paid version of X, the message length can be up to 25,000 characters.

Several changes have been made to X during Musk’s tenure, which have been deemed to hinder the operation of news media on the platform. According to statistics, traffic from X. to news pages has decreased.

It is not yet known how advertisers have reacted to the change. X’s ad revenue has halved since Musk bought the company last year.
