Nintendo is a name that speaks to all video game enthusiasts. NES, Gameboy, DS, Wii or even Switch have each time brought their share of innovations. Born in 1889 in Kyoto, Japan, Nintendo was originally a company specializing in the manufacture of playing cards. Cards from Western culture being banned, it produced games of Hanafuda. Otherwise known as the flower game, the traditional cards ofHanafuda feature floral patterns. It was only from the 1970s that the firm decided to diversify. It produced toys then developed arcade terminals, before switching to the design of consoles and video games.
