Did their games make us crazy?

Did their games make us crazy

In some games, there are such scenes that I want to break my monitor or even throw up. All it does is dig a hole in our beautiful mind.

For years, I have always argued the same idea: video games are not harmful. However… The real problem starts after this “but” word. I believe that there should be a limit in games as in everything else. I won’t talk about it today. I will talk about the productions that take us to the level of insanity and enter our dreams.

We may not be crazy, but we’re not quite normal either.

Each game has its own rating. These are the standards set to protect our young fellow players. I believe that as long as the rating is done correctly, it should be followed to the end. However, there are some games that can push the limits of even sane people, even though they are rated at the highest level.

As new companies emerge in the gaming industry, the chance to take a permanent place in the industry is getting harder and harder. The more you promote your game, the harder it is to get a return on your investment. Although it is a good situation for us actors (in terms of having more satisfying productions), it is challenging for companies. For this reason, developers also resort to different directions. Squeaking is one of them. A move you have to make when you least expect it can change your perspective on both the game and the games.

There has been a moment when we all hated the game we enjoyed playing. Of course I did too. The scenes that caused me to delete the game without waiting still get on my nerves when I think of it. However, I can’t help but think “What would happen if I completed that task?”. I still can’t load the game again. It means permanent damage.

If you’ve played Heavy Rain, you know what it’s about. Simply put, I can say it’s about the race against time to save the last victims of the person known as the Origami Killer. There was a scene in the thriller-type game, which had quite impressive scenes, that still does not go out of my mind. One of the killer’s directives is the task of cutting our finger off… You were cutting your fingers with a saw, scissors, etc. This scene still gets on my nerves. It was one of the games that I left without waiting and never entered again.

These examples can be increased. Especially the Fatality scenes of the Mortal Kombat series have been very frustrating for me. Even though it was a little more foldable in the periods when the graphics were not that developed, the companies got a bit of a mess with new technologies. They even proudly reveal and fragment them in the promotion of the game.

Of course, there is another aspect of the matter. Those who enjoy them. I’m sorry, but I will never be with you. If you enjoy the eye surgery scene in Dead Space 2, think again.

Even though it takes place in a virtual world, I find the scenes in some games really heartbreaking and over exaggerated. As in these examples, there have been games that you abandoned because of “annoying” scenes. Don’t just think of it as violence. There are many different components that do not fit our minds. You can pour your heart out and relax by sharing it with us in the comments. Of course, without breaking the boundaries of decency. 🙂
