Who is Deadpool 3 villain Cassandra Nova?
Cassandra Nova made her comic book debut in 2001, appearing in issue 114 of New X-Men. With the E for Extinction Arcwhich runs through issue 126, seared her into fans’ minds as one of Marvel’s most powerful characters and shocked fans with her quirky Professor X connection.
How are Cassandra Nova and Professor X connected?
The short answer: Cassandra Nova is it twin sister by Charles Xavier aka Professor X, who was portrayed by Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy in the previous film adaptations. Stewart even recently appeared in the MCU in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, although his return was short-lived.

The long and very complicated answer: Cassandra formed alongside Charles in her mother’s womb – not in the embryo, but as spiritual mirror from the astral plane with an extremely dark aura. Charles sensed this and tried to kill her in the womb. The result was a miscarriage. Only Charles survived.

In the womb, Cassandra copied Charles’ DNA. This enabled her to do the entire thing Potential of the X gene exploit. Now she has all the powers Charles has, and all the powers he could theoretically have. From telepathy to telekinesis, Cassandra can even project a form onto the astral plane and get involved there.

We’ll probably only find out whether Cassandra Nova has Ant-Man on her conscience and which Professor X appears in Deadpool & Wolverine when the film opens. What we do know is who will play the bald villain: Emma Corrin will take on the role. Corrin became known as young Princess Diana in the Netflix series The Crown. Corrin also starred in the icy crime thriller A Murder at the End of the World.
