Since the release of Diablo 4, the “Pinnacle Bosses” have been the ultimate test of endurance for all players. While most of them are now at farm status, one is holding up well: Uber-Lilith. Even after 4 seasons, the mother of hate is still so strong that many players find her difficult to defeat and are not particularly happy about it.
What kind of boss is that?

Diablo 4: Echo of Hate – Find and defeat Lilith with our guide
by Nicole Wakulczyk
Why is Lilith so heavy? The fight against Lilith is different from the fight against most other bosses. You fight in a small arena in different phases and Lilith herself keeps retreating to attack you from above without being attacked.
She makes the arena smaller and deals more damage than most other bosses. If you’re not extremely careful, you’ll die immediately – even if you’re an overpowered barbarian.
Most recently, a player took on Lilith and played a flaying build, one of the best builds in Diablo 4 at the moment. But that still wasn’t enough, as a clip on Reddit shows.
The player beat the Uber Boss until the final phase and played almost all mechanics confidently, but then failed at the last moment – when Lilith actually already had no life points left.
With the first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, there is a good chance that Uber-Mephisto will be the new pinnacle boss. Then you can really get your teeth into it. Here is the intro to the add-on:
“It took me 400 tries and I hated every minute”
When fighting Uber Lilith, it’s not necessarily enough to just have extremely good gear. While players have managed to simply shred Lilith in a few seconds in the past, that doesn’t usually happen.
If you don’t kill Lilith in the first few seconds, she’ll change phases and become unassailable. Then she’ll bombard you with attacks and you’ll have to run, dodge, and survive – which is often not easy because there are no enemies you can leech.
Towards the middle or end of each season, many videos about Lilith appear and the discussion about her is reignited. The fight divides the community:
“Took me 400 tries to get the first kill. And I hated every minute of it. Almost gave up before I beat her. […] Finally got rid of her. Did it again after another 10+ tries just to see if it was luck. Never touched her again and won’t.”

Lilith requires you to play mechanics like a raid boss in an MMORPG like World of Warcraft. In ARPGs, this is not exactly the most popular type of fight, for some it is even considered the worst fight in ARPGs. However, there is more of a love/hate relationship with the mother of Sanctuary: “Absolute crap” player complains about the hardest fight, is too unfair, gets countered immediately
