Diablo 4 takes the best feature with Season 7 and brings more of it

With Season 7 comes a new feature in Diablo 4 that is reminiscent of the popular Hell Floods. In the “Witch Floods” you can farm a lot of XP, gold and loot.

What features does Season 7 bring? With Season 7 comes the “headhunting zones” in Diablo 4, which are reminiscent of the floods of hell. While the hellflood areas are marked red on the map, you can recognize the headhunting zones by the turquoise areas. In the areas you will find numerous headhunting tasks that you complete to collect “Ghastly Gifts” for the Whispering Tree.

So far, the Hellfloods have been the best place to level and loot, especially in the early game. Due to the high density of monsters and the combination with the whispering tasks, you can farm XP, gold and loot really well there. In Season 7, the Hell Floods will be supplemented by the new headhunting zones, explained design director Daniel Tanguay in the YouTube livestream on January 16th.

The “Witch Floods” as a contact point for XP, loot and reputation

What happens in the headhunting zones? In Season 7, the Whispering Tree is missing its heads. In order to appease the tree, players must complete new Whisper bounties in Sanctuary. There is a chance that the tree will offer you a “bequeathed” box to choose from.

The missing heads of the tree wander around Sanctuary looking for new bodies. This causes the turquoise headhunting zones to spawn on the map, which are ideal for headhunting. If you complete it, you collect gifts for the tree. On top of that, “Uprooted Cocoons” can spawn, where head rotten bosses appear.

Why is it worth it? The new “Witch Floods”, as they were called by some players on the PTR according to Daniel Tanguay, are worthwhile for several reasons:

  • You farm XP, loot and gold in the zones.
  • You have the opportunity to collect gifts for the tree and pick up the boxes directly from a raven in the tree that spawns in the zones. This means you don’t have to go back to the Whispering Tree every time.
  • You collect favor from the circle and thus advance in the new reputation system in Season 7. There you will find a “Magnificent Spark” at the end, which you need to craft Mythics.
  • You collect Mats, which you need to produce the new “Occult Gemstones”.
    • You can recognize the head hunting zones by the turquoise areas.
    The Raven of the Tree spawns in the zones.
    The Circle is the reputation system in Season 7.

    In Season 7 it should be even faster to farm the boxes from the tree because:

  • The Whispering Tree layout is being reworked so that the waypoint is closer to the tree.
  • You will find dealers there where you can get rid of the loot directly if you don’t need it.
  • In the head hunting zones you will always find a raven of the tree to whom you can give your gifts.
