Diablo 4 shows patch notes for patch 1.1.3, nerfs some of the worst opponents, but hardly distributes buffs

The contents of the next patch for Diablo 4 are known. Patch 1.1.3 is quite unspectacular and offers many bug fixes as well as quality-of-life changes to annoying opponents and their affixes. You can see exactly what the patch notes say in our overview.

What does patch 1.1.3 offer? The patch mainly addresses Season of Spite bugs and makes monsters and their affixes with CC effects less annoying to stun. These will be adjusted slightly, making the player lose control less often and for less time.

When will Patch 1.1.3 be released? The patch is scheduled to appear on August 29th. Blizzard has already announced the full patch notes for Season 1.

You can see the most important adjustments here:

  • We’ve made several changes to monster skills and elite affixes that cause crowd control effects
  • Fire-enchanted monsters’ death explosion causes one less wave and 20% less damage.
  • Fixed a bug where at level 35 Echo of Varshan had no chance of guaranteed Legendary loot.
  • Achievements, trophies, and challenges with the same unlock criteria on multiple platforms will now carry over through cross-platform progression.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed druids’ inventories to fill up with spirit blessings, blocking the progress of quests that have items attached to them.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed hunters to use obfuscation to skip a stage of the Echo of Lilith encounter.
  • Fixed a bug where Treasure Goblins between level 15 and 40 would not drop a guaranteed Legendary item after dying.
  • Fixed a bug where several level 35+ bosses might not drop a legendary item.
  • Below we list the entire patch notes in an overview. All general information about the season can be found in our overview of season 1.

    sources of loss of control

We’ve made several changes to monster skills and elite affixes that cause crowd control effects, such as:

  • Cold-enchanted elite enemies that attack in rapid succession (e.g. spirit archers or serpent brutes) no longer trigger the cold enchantment on every hit.
  • Freezing Wind is less likely to cause overlapping walls.
  • Cannibal Devourer’s stun skill is now easier to dodge.
  • Increased the cooldown of Cold Goatman’s ice pillars.
  • The chill amount from Cold Spider’s attacks has been reduced.
  • Nangari Snake Eye stun duration reduced from 1.5 to 1.25 seconds.
  • Other changes that make the player less likely to be the target of loss of control.
  • Developer Comment: These changes are aimed at allowing the player to lose control for less time and have more time to recover from a loss of control, especially at high world levels.

    Generally

  • Fire-enchanted monsters’ death explosion causes one less wave and 20% less damage.
  • Bloated Corpse Fiend’s charging attack damage reduced by 14%.
  • Miscellaneous

  • Affixes on items are now sorted consistently.
  • Developer Comment: Season of Blood will see an adjustment to how affixes are displayed in item tooltips. This change is the cornerstone of our ongoing efforts to better compare random affixes.

  • The Seasonal filter and My Class filter in the Code of Power menu now remember the last filter criteria.
  • Controlling with controllers in the glyph upgrade menu now feels more natural.
  • Achievements, trophies, and challenges with the same unlock criteria on multiple platforms will now carry over through cross-platform progression.
