In Diablo 4, your season character is rapidly approaching retirement. In just 10 days he will be entering his twilight years.
Why is your season character retiring? In Diablo 4, most of the game revolves around looting and leveling. To ensure that this remains fun in the long term, Blizzard regularly serves up new content that is added to the game with new seasons or expansions.
In each new season, however, you have to create a new character and upgrade from level 1 again. Looting and leveling begins again. However, the characters from past seasons are not deleted, they retire and are sent to the retirement home: the Eternal Realm.
In the Eternal Realm you can continue to play your old season characters, but they will no longer be able to enjoy new seasons and the associated new content.
When is your season character retiring? Your “Season 1” character will retire on October 17th, with the start of Season 2, so there are still a good 10 days left.
When your Season 1 character crosses over to the Eternal Realm, they will take gold, items, and crafting materials with them. As well as the stat bonuses of the collected Lilith statues as well as discovered areas of the map and your weapon and armor transmogs.
What your character doesn’t take with you, however, are the malicious hearts from Season 1 that you’ve cultivated over the past few weeks.

Season 2 brings vampire powers
What does Season 2 bring? Season 2 is all about vampires who threaten to bring disaster to Sanctuary with their unquenchable thirst for blood. In keeping with this, Diablo 4 has 22 vampiric powers ready for you in Season 2 that you can use.
There will also be a new quest line and 5 new bosses in the endgame of the action RPG, which should provide more of a challenge.
