Diablo 4 Season 2 has “so much stuff” that it takes Blizzard 4 hours to explain

Season 1 in Diablo 4 couldn’t particularly convince the community. The lack of good endgame content and the grind quickly created a yawning emptiness in Sanctuary. That should change with Season 2, because Blizzard is already talking about a lot of stuff that you can expect.

What’s the problem with Season 1? A lot of fans get upset when they think about Season 1. Whether it’s the irrelevant season quest, the season mechanics, nerfs or a lack of new endgame content – none of it is fun.

Season 1 was a disaster for Blizzard, but that should change with Season 2. Rod Fergusson, the boss behind Diablo, left a teaser on Twitter to whet the appetite for Season 2.

When does Season 1 end? In Diablo 4, Season 1 is scheduled to end on October 17, 2023. The time is still unknown, but we estimate it to be around 6 or 7 p.m. in the evening.

Season 2 will revolve around vampires. A trailer shows glimpses of the new catastrophe:

Blizzard is trying to hype the fans

What does Blizzard say? Rod Fergusson wrote on his Twitter account about the amount of “things” players can expect in Season 2. According to him, there is: “So much stuff in Diablo 4 Season 2 that Adam Fletcher (Diablo Community Director) has to host two deep dive streams to cover it all!”.

Adam then responded by saying, “It’s quite a lot. I expect both streams to last around 2 hours”.

Here’s the tweet from the two Diablo colleagues again:

However, this tweet does not provide any new information. Neither what the players can expect nor when they can expect new information regarding Season 2. Either way, Diablo 4 fans have an opinion on Rod Fergusson’s statement and it’s very clear.

What does the community say? Players don’t fall for this type of advertising. They don’t believe Rod Fergusson and want solid information about what to expect in Season 2. Reddit user therefore replies to this tweet as follows:

  • zeroskill99: “I’m not interested, just publish an article lol…it’s not hard.”
  • DisasterDifferent543: “I would rather read patch notes than listen to developers lie to us about how great everything is.”
  • shawnkfox: “Rod said Season 1 would be big too. I assume every word that comes out of Rod’s mouth is complete nonsense until proven otherwise.”
  • Pousse_m0usse “I have no faith in Rod and I am way above those marketing words. I can’t wait for more “clunky”, terrible patch notes. It may sound salty, but they need to rebuild trust, no one cares about their private jokes. In any case, the lesson learned is: I find it so difficult to deal with my expectations that I don’t have any at all.”
  • It remains to be seen how Blizzard can regain the trust of the players. Things aren’t going so well with Season 1 so far and Path of Exile 2 is hot on the developer’s heels. The game could rival Diablo 4: I played Path of Exile 2 and it already does 3 things better than Diablo 4
