The first Diablo with open world and a mount are also included. But PC players benefit significantly more from the faithful companion in Diablo 4, with a trick they are significantly faster than players on PlayStation and Xbox.
Can PC players ride faster? Yes, you can actually ride faster on PC. However, this is not directly due to the PC, but to the input devices. It would be better to say that players with a mouse and keyboard can ride faster than controller players.
But since you can’t use mouse & keyboard on PlayStation and Xbox, only PC gamers can benefit from the boost.

How does this work? Mount speed on PC appears to be partly dependent on mouse cursor position. The further away the cursor is from the character, the faster you can advance on the horse.
However, the advantage lies in the boost with the horse. The speed increases on the PC if you use the boost more often in a row. The speed remains the same on consoles. When riding side by side without boost, there is no difference in speed.
The trick has been haunting the community for a long time. But a thread on Reddit took up the topic again and it turns out that many players don’t know about it. The thread creator initially received many downvotes because he did not show any evidence of his “tip” in an older thread.

Colleague Benedict plays on the PC, I on PS5. We tested it directly and started a little race.
Due to the high speed at the beginning I didn’t have a chance. On the way there was a cliff where we had to dismount for a short time. After that, Benedict had full boost again and was able to advance further.

It is currently unclear whether this is a bug and which input device is working correctly. However, PC players can currently overcome faster, especially short distances. It is very unlikely that this will remain the case.
