Diablo 4 has published its first major patch notes and we show you the changes from update 1.008 in German. Small spoiler: All classes are now weaker.
On the morning of June 3rd, an unobtrusive update for Diablo 4 went online. It was again around 300 MB, which is hardly significant on the hard drive.
That’s what the adjustments are all about. All classes have been nerfed, and the barbarian whirlwind build has been downright destroyed.

Diablo 4: Update 1.008 Patch Notes
When is the update coming? The patch is already online.
How big is the update? You only need to download around 300 MB.
What’s in the update? Adjustments for Skills, Paragon Glyphs, Items and Aspects. In addition, the developers gave an explanation of the thoughts behind the latest changes. The explanation can be found here under the patch notes.

Damage reduction with increased skill rank from 4% to 2%
Aspect: Courageous Aspect
Cooldown per enemy reduced to only 1.0 – 1.9 seconds (from 2.7 – 5.4)
Maximum 6 second reduction per reputation
Aspect of the Terrible Whirlwind
Crit chance per second only increased by 3% to 8% (from 5 – 10)
Maximum only 9% to 24% (previously 20 – 40)
Item: Gohr’s Crushing Grippers
Explosion damage at the end of Whirlwind only 16% to 26% (from 50 – 70)
Damage against standing objects no longer counts
Explosion damage only increased from the first 100 hits

Significantly reduced the spawn rate of Treasure Goblins within PvP zones.
What do the developers say about the adjustments? Blizzard states that they are generally happy with the overall class balance. The current changes fall into three categories:
There were synergies that kept some classes alive for too long
Some skills and builds were too weak, they got a buff
Paragon glyphs are too strong, they wanted to readjust here
As a result, many skills that are considered the best options in a class post-release have been affected. There were strong nerfs for all classes, but also some buffs that may lead to new strong builds.
