Diablo 4 lets fans start over every season – If you have your way, Blizzard will cost some players

The debate about seasons and how they continue in Diablo 4 is always an important topic on social networks. The veterans love it, while new players can only shake their heads. You on MeinMMO also have clear opinions on the subject of seasons and we are going to show them to you now.

What is the problem? Diablo is not known for its strong campaign, but rather for its seasons and the fun around the grind. Endless looting and leveling and slaughtering godless creatures.

While Diablo 2 and 3 have always followed the same path with their seasons, new fans of the franchise in particular have wished that Blizzard would go a different, new path. A way in which players don’t have to create a new hero every season and can still benefit from cool new quests and mechanics. You, too, have discussed it on MeinMMO.

Here’s the official story trailer again in case you missed it for Diablo 4:

That’s what you say about the seasons on MeinMMO

A few days ago, our author Benedict Grothaus reported on the situation surrounding the season heroes. The topic was so exciting that many users commented on it in the comments.

What are the users’ opinions? They are different. Some demonize the seasons and can’t do anything with them, while veterans expected the existing system to continue.

Late Triumph: Diablo Immortal will be playable on PC after all.

This is what you write in the comments:

  • Katsuno – “It was kind of to be expected, but being marketed as an MMO made me hope for more consistency with the characters. So I’ve played through the story once and now I’m waiting for S1, since I have the Ultimate anyway and I’m sure I want to play every class, no problem for now. After that it will probably be quiet for a while, I don’t like this system at all.”
  • Phoesias – “No way, I’m so out of it.”
  • Mister Panda – “[…] Personally, I have long accepted that Diablo 4 is a game with an ending… Just like any other single player game. Because that’s how I play it. Alone and without stress. Nonseason until I’m tired and later the extensions. If you want more, you won’t complain about the seasons either. But for me it’s just nothing and that’s okay.”
  • But there are also players who are not surprised by the season system for Diablo 4 and are amazed at the astonishment of the community:

  • Bingolinchen – “I don’t understand the nagging. Wasn’t that all known beforehand? Why do you have to be upset now? If only people hadn’t bought the game.
I’m also not upset about Elden Ring or Dark Souls because it’s a bit heavy. That’s the principle of the game. If I didn’t like that, I shouldn’t have bought the game.”
  • Desten96 – “I don’t know if I’m playing a wrong Diablo, but wasn’t that always the point of the game or seasons to make new characters and thus play other builds and classes?”
  • Bonerpants – “Don’t get the fuss, always has been and always will be, it’s nothing new. Why do you want to change that now, only for people who don’t like it, but it was previously communicated that way?”
  • When will Season 1 be released? An exact date is not yet known. The only known info is just an approximate release timeline, which is mid to late July. It remains to be seen how Blizzard will shape the seasons in the future. The team has shown with Diablo 4 that they are quick to respond to player feedback.

So it could well be possible that Blizzard could actually make serious changes to its seasons to appeal to more players. You can find more about Season 1 here in the overview.
