Making changes to Diablo 4’s inventory system

Considering that Diablo 4 was released in early June 2023, it’s no surprise that the game still has a high base of players since launch. Many in the gaming community are pushing themselves by reaching the maximum level in the shortest possible time and building the most effective or powerful builds in Diablo 4 for their chosen class.

While Blizzard faced login and server issues at launch, Blizzard has been on its toes in delivering constant fixes and content updates that will definitely keep the fanbase active and engaged with the video game.

It turns out that in the first Diablo 4 Campfire Chat, which included several people from the development team, fans had already heard a call for a separate area to store the gems. According to Game Director Joe Shely, the team plans to make changes to the way players acquire and store gems.

Gems will be automatically placed in the crafting materials inventory, instead of taking up space in the character’s bag where equipment is normally found after purchase. This means players will have more room in their bags for real gear, and also lessen the need to teleport from dungeons to their chests in town.
