That’s why the chests are worth it: The number one reason the chests are worth it is Tortured Souls. You will often need this material later for crafting and it is only available in the Infernal Tides. The Tormented Gifts of Secrets drop several of them.

Also, Mystery Gifts tend to have more Legendaries than regular ones. Where you often only find one there, the secret chests usually contain between 3-5 Legendaries. It’s worth it if you:

    If you want to open the crates, you need a lot of anomalous embers. These are given by all enemies in an area, but there are a few tricks you can keep in mind:

  • Look for areas with a lot of enemies, especially builds that focus on splash damage
  • go out in a group to be able to gather and kill more enemies at once
  • Events are a good source of Embers, especially when a lot of enemies spawn there in waves. The box at the end also grants Embers
