Why do I need glyphs? When you reach level 50 you unlock your Paragon Board in Diablo 4. From then on you will no longer receive any further skill points, but rather points that you distribute on the board. On each board of the Paragon Board there is a base into which you insert a glyph. Glyphs give you certain bonuses, which you take advantage of by leveling up the glyphs – the maximum level is 21.

What is the fastest way to level glyphs? You can only level glyphs in Nightmare dungeons. As soon as you have completed a dungeon, a kind of ball will pop up around you with an “Awakened Glyph Stone” in it. If you interact with him, you can choose a glyph you want to level up.

Depending on the XP you collect, you increase the level of the glyph or continue to fill up its level bar.

The amount of XP you get in Nightmare dungeons depends on the level of the dungeon. The higher the level, the more XP you end up getting for your glyphs.

Tips to level up as quickly as possible:

  • Try out a few nightmare dungeons and make a note of the ones in which you can reach the end the fastest. Dungeons with goals like “Get 3 bloodstones to the pedestals” will take you too long because of the many walking paths. You can quickly get through the dungeons “Sirocco Cave” (Kehjistan), “Blind Caves” (Hawezar) and “Sarat’s Lair” (Scosglen).
  • Don’t spend too long in the dungeons and don’t trigger events if you want to level up your glyphs as quickly as possible. Don’t run into every small room or open every door if you don’t have to. The targets are often in larger rooms or in the hallways.
  • Ideally, you can complete a nightmare dungeon in under 10 minutes. As a reward you often receive new nightmare seals, activate them in the dungeon. With the click you will be teleported to the entrance of the current dungeon and from there you can teleport directly to the next nightmare dungeon.
    • Some dungeons have an additional bonus to Glyph XP as an affix.
  • Although higher nightmare dungeons give you more glyph XP, it’s no use if it takes you longer to chop up the mobs. Try out dungeons with five levels above you and then level up little by little. Adjust your equipment as needed. As for the most important defensive stat, you now only need to remember one stat.
  • If you have the opportunity, go through the nightmare dungeons in groups. If you end up in one where you have to move stones from A to B, you can easily divide it up among yourself and save time.

    Where do I get glyphs? You get glyphs from world level 3 from nightmare dungeons, but also as drops in the hellflood. If you can’t find certain glyphs for your board after several runs, switching to World Tier 4 as soon as you feel ready might help.
