About Diablo 4
Diablo IV will be a collaborative open world with 5 regions to explore. From the Dry Steppe to the Scosglen coast and glacier ridges, each region has been carefully and meticulously created by the Diablo Art and Design teams.
Many of these regions contain dynamic objects that bring buildings and terrain to life. The team challenged themselves to create a realistic and varied element of destruction, placing interactive and destructible objects in most of the environments.
Diablo IV also offers over 150 randomly generated dungeons that use a combination of manual and procedural creation.
To make dungeon creation efficient and flexible, the team began creating various tile sets that could be cleverly reused with different objects, interaction elements, and lighting. To give the tilesets a more natural feel, new transitions have been created to soften the transition between two different tile sets in the same dungeon.
