Diablo 4 turned one year old on June 6th. To celebrate, Blizzard has planned events that should give you more loot, free skins and more experience. However, important information was missing beforehand – and now half of what everyone expected is missing.
This is what Blizzard has planned:
Where does the chaos come from? Blizzard has already announced the birthday in two parts: Part 1 is the March of the Goblins, Part 2 is the Blessing of the Mother. Players have already been puzzling over what exactly that means.
Because there are start and end times, but only partially:
So the actual “end” of the celebrations is not known. In addition, no one has yet known exactly when the blessing event will actually be active. It is supposed to last for 10 days, but the starting point is unclear. There are various assumptions:
Blizzard has not provided an answer to this question since the event was announced. Now we at least know that the events will not start at the same time because the Mother’s Blessing is not active at the moment. And other problems are causing trouble.
“That makes -1 sense”
Anyone who logs into Diablo 4 is greeted with a screen for the birthday event. There is a button here that takes you directly to the shop to collect the rewards. Only there was nothing to collect here at first.
It is not until about half an hour after the start of the event that there are free cosmetics in the “Anniversary” section. Or more precisely: one, namely just the warhorse “The Nightmare”. The weapon skins will apparently come later.
You will be offered a new skin in the shop every day at 9 p.m. From the 13th you will probably be able to collect all the rewards at once until June 20th, if the information from the shop is correct.
Meanwhile, there is more criticism about the lack of the mother’s blessing. Here on X it is already said: It is a huge oversight that the events do not run at the same time. They could have gotten a lot more out of it, but now it feels half-baked. In addition, the goblin loot does not seem to work properly. The developers are already working on a solution (via X.com).
What’s worse, however, is that communication was so poor. Community Manager Adam Fletcher announced on X just an hour before the event was released – the start time of which was also unknown – that information about the Mother’s Blessing was not expected until next week.
For many users on X and Reddit, this is a real setback. Especially because Diablo 4 with the new Season 4 was able to really inspire many people who were rather disappointed with the previous development: “Imagine if it had been like this since release” – Season 4 inspires players because they can simply play
