On September 14th, a hotfix for patch 1.1.4 for Diablo 4 was released, which promised an EXP gain. But players don’t see much improvement. MeinMMO tells you what’s behind it.
The developers are continuing their efforts to revert the controversial changes of the unpopular patch 1.1. Instead of repeating the mistakes of the past, the Diablo team now seems to be correcting them step by step.
Players are still dissatisfied after improvements
What are these changes? Update 1.1.4 brought back an EXP bonus. The hotfix increased the experience gained for killing monsters in world levels 3 and 4.
The intent behind these changes was to get players to level 100 quicker and to offset the previous nerfs that had previously caused annoyance. These nerfs affected the experience point bonuses for killing higher level monsters.
Despite these adjustments, the new stats are still less beneficial than the original XP bonuses that were in effect at the time of game launch.
How do the players react?? While it’s good news in itself, many players apparently would have preferred that these mistakes had been avoided in the first place. In a Reddit post about the game, the hotfix was seen as a long-overdue realization by the developers that they’ve made a mistake and are finally fixing it:
Players are undoubtedly upset about the current developments in Diablo 4 and are hoping for further improvements to the game. It remains to be seen how the developers will respond to this feedback.
Are there any aspects of the current patch that you think are missing or urgently need to be revised? What do you think about the XP change?
After leveling, there are also other problems that Blizzard will have to take care of in the near future if the players have their way:
