On Reddit, a player shared a heartwarming story about how he helped others reach World Tier 4 in Diablo 4 and even learned something along the way.
What are these tips? Diablo 4 offers many sources of decent loot and one of them is the so-called “gambling”. You can get “Whispering Oboluses” through events and exchange them for random loot at your trusted curio dealer.
There are traders in every capital city, you can recognize them by the money bag symbol with the question mark. The dealer spits out a lot of rubbish, but also likes to donate legendaries and strong items with a high item level. Incidentally, unique monsters bring the highest item power.
Reddit user “AwesomePrawn” dragged 70-year-old player “Bad JuJu” through the final dungeon for World Tier 4 and picked up a few “gambling” tips along the way:
Actually, the curio dealer only changes his items when the dealer reset is pending. But if you switch to a friend’s world, you will find another offer here. Do you want “Legacy Shoes” but your dealer doesn’t have any – look at other worlds.
“Bad JuJu” even said that you could just log out and go back in, and the offer would change. I tested it immediately, but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. In the world of a fellow player, however, there was another offer.
By the way, there is no point in going to a curio dealer in another capital. All have the same offer. You also need a certain minimum level for the items – “legacy” curiosities are only available from level 73. You don’t get “unique” items here.
There are players who don’t use “gambling”. Others walk past cellars. But both can be worthwhile:

Which items are worthwhile when “gambling”? If you are looking for certain legendary aspects, then find out which aspect category the aspect belongs to and look in your “Code of Power” to see which items the aspect category can be found on:
Otherwise, grab what your build currently needs. But you have the best chance of getting good stuff if you buy a strange item as often as possible, i.e. grab the cheap ones that only cost 40 oboluses. And always remember to have enough “Whispering Keys” for chests with you.
